I'm kinda pissed at it right now, so the short answer is, it's a Ford, LOL.
Seriously, I noticed on Friday that my fuel pressure was dropping from 60 to 20ish psi on hard runs. I'm also not sure the tuning is right. The truck is fine for normal use, it feels like it makes plenty of power and what not, although the egt's are about 50 degrees higher than they used to be. But when really working the motor (i.e. at the strip or towing up a grade), the truck just doesn't pull like it used to. Its just a tuning issue, so it's easy enough to get resolved (I hope). Fuel can be fixed with a lift pump.

what kind of lift pump did you have in mind ??
and tuning doesn't just "change" , i know i'm guilty of this myself, but don you suppose that you are just getting used to the power, and it doesn't SEEM as fast as it used to be ?

Danny, what do you mean that tuning doesn't change? I have gotten all new tunes in the last month or so, and I don't think I'm liking them as much as I had hoped.
As for a pump, I'll probably replace the OE pump with a Walbro, then look at either an AirDog or FASS. I'm leaning towards the Airdog, but I've got a while to decide on that.

you said the truck just doesn't pull like it used to, i'm assuming you meant like it used to with the same tune, that's why i said that... if you haven't changed the tuning and it feels like it's down on power, then either you are just getting used to it, or you have a mechanical something going south, because "tuning doesn't change"
the fass is very pricey, but it does do what a normal high pressure fuel pump won't do, and that's separate air vapor and water.. you will want to probably upgrade your fuel lines all the way up also to larger ones.

| Personally I would buy an airdog over a fass, because I here the airdog has a better install kit?

no, the airdog is a cheaper knock off of fass, but they probably do the same job.
if all you are going for is a better fuel pump, i would go aeromotive, but the air separation makes the fass worth it.

| The FASS can replace the OE pump, and seems to be more for racing, sled pulling etc. i.e. use it where serious fuel is needed. The Airdog is more for 'normal' use. Towing, daily driving, occasional racing, etc. You still need an pump with the Airdog. Either will work for any use, but I think the FASS is better for high-HP applications. For what I want to do, I think that the Airdog with a Walbro electric pump will work very well and cost less than a FASS, but I haven't made up my mind.
