So I got a call from the tranny shop today. It went as follows "The front drun exploded taking the case with it, the clutches welded themselves together, and you have a bad solenoid." So my $1700 rebuild is now $2400 and I only had the X 4 days. Awesome huh.

Karway in Phx. he's a friend and builder for my buddies shop. Forgot bto say he's doing some shift kit in it but now I can't buy my billet converter. Oh well guess I'll take it back apart later.

So my tranny will be in Monday. I talked to the tech today and my tranny was on it's way to dyno. New case, all new solenoids, old style drum, new clutches, new steels, shift kit and a new torque converter. The tech said he had some "stuff" laying around the shop and desided to put it in basically a hill killer minus shafts, pan and billet converter.

Well trnny is in and so far so good. Had an issue with a pin on the main connecter with that fixed all is good. Wow what a difference a good tranny makes.

if it doesn't i would look into replacing the batteries or start looking for a short in your charging system that is overworking your alternator.

I'm always weary of Lifetime warranties on stuff like alternators ans starters. I wouldn't mess around with Checker or Vatozone parts. Go with Napa or CarQuest for good reman's, or Ford for a new one. The Ford part is going to be expen$ive, but a new part that will last. My .02
