this isnt my forst rodeo william, i sold ford for a bit before i started driving a big rig. i was getting truck at invoice and also getting rebates- basically im paying 38k for a 50k truck.
but now they are giving me d plan plus rebates and 12,800 for my truck. what a deal!!!!!

Ben- im talking about GSR or Type R integras!
Turbo buils that actually go and just dont make noise and neutral drop lol.
A few months ago I had a mean GSR that was all gutted and motor only that was a blast to drive around!

yeah for sure !! ford is actually (and chevy too) going to seriously reduce production of the superduty/econoline and HD (chevy) truck line due to fuel economy issues (CAFE) and low sales lately..
there are some VERY motivated sellers that there is NO REASON you should pay full retail for a full size 08 diesel guzzling beast that they are having a hard time moving.

Yeah I have to agree, the sticker on mine was 56,800 and I paid 46,400 OTD for mine a year ago before the truck sales took a huge dump, I would assume you could do a lot better with the current market crunch.
As far as the truck, I love it. I have had a some issue's because mine was a very early production Job 1 truck but I have had no issues with the engine or transmission. I know i was taking a chance with new production model but if given the chance to do it again, i would. I've had the 7.3 and the 6.0 and I would go back to neither, and I was a big fan of the 7.3. The truck's mileage is not all that great in stock form but there's a lot you can do to improve now with or without a DPF delete. The DPF delete will yield the best performance.
As far as power, with just a tune(250 HP tune) and a DPF delete these trucks can make 560 HP and 1200 FTLBS torque at the wheels. The Cummins noire the Duramax can come close in stock format with just tuning. They will lack fuel or transmission to hold it at those levels. On the track there running low 13's which is not bad considering the trucks are close to 1000 LBS + or - heavier than their predecessors.
If the 08 is in your budget I would go for it I'm sure you will be happy.

| im deffinatly looking into it, i screwed myself last night tho, since im fairly good frinds w/ the sales manager (brad cambridge, bill cambridges[the ownser of gaudin ford and ford country] son)he was giving me 12800 for my truck as a blind trade, last night the used car guy wanted to actuallyappraise my truck, now they can give me 8 for my trade... ouch. so i killed the deal.

those Big Red's are cool...even the really built cars are kinda cool...it's the little, noisy fart can, covered in APC everything, spikey haired driver workin at Taco Bell, cheap wheels cost more than the rest of the car, can i borrow $5 bucks for gas, i'm gonna show you and cut you off cars that i can't stand...

The Big Red I am talking about is this one.
Since Steve suddenly has an inexplicable infatuation with import "sports" cars, I figured I'd mess with him on the SxS side, too. LOL

i got no room to talk there...i have one of these...
it's slow, like my truck....but at least it doesn't puke...
