Last night I came out of Buffalo Wild Wings and she wouldn't start. I've been having some starting issues since my fuel filters where changed last week. This morning I went back to the Vons Shopping Center and she started right up. Drove about 200 yards to Sinclair for some B5 and she puffed out alot of white smoke sitting at the pump. On the 2.5 mile trip back to the house I got one more puff of white smoke at the red light by Rhodes Ranch. Anyway, got home, no more smoke. Then two hours later, she would start, but only idle at 700 rpm and no response from the throttle. I"m thinking EGR or turbo seal, not showing any codes either. She was towed away at 4pm to the dealership in Henderson.
It's a sad day.

They do have an excellent diesel tech down there at Ford Country..His name is John Hast..As far as service advisors, they're all pretty cool..I've dealt mostly with Steve Gilchrist...
Yes it stinks..Machines break..Hopefully it's something minor..Leaking EGR cooler and HPOP fitting are possible problems..Even headgaskets aren't a big deal anymore as often as they get changed by a dealer tech..
Let us know if you need anything..That's what the club's for..

Diesel techs only work M-F. Hopefully they will give me a call tomorrow. I'll put a post up when I get the truck back.

| Hey KR, How's the progress on the truck? Any word on what the cause of your troubles was?

Got the truck back Thursday evening. It was ready on Monday, but I was out of town and couldn't pick it up till last night. Fuel pump and a wiring harness. All covered under warranty. Except the tow and $100 deductible.
Ran fine on the way home last night. My daugher drive me crazy all day to ride in Daddy's diesel, so we cruised around and ended up at Bass Pro tonight. Seems to be fixed and I'm glad to have it back.

Didn't run rough at all. The was only one sympton. When it would start, you'd have no throttle response for about 5 seconds, then pressure would build and the throttle would respond. Went on for about a week, until there was no response at all.
The wierd things was when it finally did build pressure, it ran fine. No lag, no bogging. Least it happend close to home and not on my hunting trip to Kansas a few weeks ago.

Came back with one in the doe in the cooler. Shot one other doe and lost her to a pack of coyotes around 10 pm. Didn't see any bucks the entire week, but saw deer every day I was in the stand. I should have waited till rifle season, I'd have come back alot more. Next year I think I'll leave the bow at home.
