well i'm still waiting for the pedestal to be finished for my nonvgt S300 that is going on in a few weeks. for now i'm running a 65mm compressor on my stock turbine. basically it's a vgtss turbo right now. the sticks are in, and the studs are on. all the bearings on the bottom end are done.

the only thing still waiting to install is my FASS which is in the garage, and i really need to do it because my fuel pressure went to ZERO when i tried to dyno it last week.

Looks like you did a good job.  That engine should be bulletproof when you are finished!!!   Supercrew632

That truck is going to be fun to drive once it's all done. Let me know what you think of the FASS once you've had it on for a while, I'm thinking of getting one at some point in the future.

i've been running an SCT on it. but i have not had any new tunes written since the rebuild and the new parts.

the tranny is already beefed up from a prior "explosion"

Danny thats sic! Your trucks gonna kill! Just curious though what caused the mains to be so worn out? Also, did you get your custom intake done yet?

Well it's common knowledge that the 6.0 shears oil badly in bottom end, my stepdad is a heavy duty diesel tech and said that "lugging" the engine is most likely the culprit and is very hard on the bearings.  i bought my truck used and it was obvious the previous owner had been pretty hard on the thing, since the tranny was pretty trashed and there were signs of an old tuner on it.

i did "lug" the engine a lot also, i have since learned to drive almost all of driving in "tow/haul" so as to have the engine run at a higher rpm and stay above 2000rpms. this seems to be working well, especially since my PCM is tuned for peak power/torque at 3000rpm as opposed to most of the newer (05 up) are at 2100-2200 rpms.

no i have not done the intake yet, i have put that project on hold as my boy is busy rebuilding another broken engine from a record setting pass, and i just flat can't afford it right now. tough times for me.

matt the tranny was toasted by the previous owner, but it worked well under stock power, once i turned up the wick it started slipping and basically destroyed itself ( i was running edge juice/attitude) and i'm sure that's partly to blame. the tranny guy said he could not believe i drove the truck there instead of having it towed, if he didnt see it with his own eyes he would not have believed it. this was after he took it apart and saw the amount of devastation inside.

So you blame the juice for some of the damage.

Some peoples edge stuff f***s there trucks over, While others run it for thousands of miles and have no problems.

Awesome upgrades, that is one beasty truck!
